Mount Zion Baptist Church of Holmesburg is located in the greater northeast section of Philadelphia, PA. Mount Zion was established in 1897 by Prophet Andrew Jones (a son of slaves – John and Nancy Jones) and fellow worshippers from the Holmesburg Granite Quarry located near the church’s current location.

Grace and peace Mt Zion Family and Friends,
The LORD is providing us with a time to reflect on our history, our ministry, our community , our leadership, our successes, and failures. To everything, there is a season and a time to every purpose under heaven. (Ecclesiastes 3:1) I am both honored and challenged to serve as Pastor at this exciting and challenging time. I am constantly reminded that change is bombarding all of us each and every day. Are we ready, willing and equipped to address the great needs that surround us?
